With less than ten days left for polling in 28 by-polls bound constituencies, both ruling BJP and main opposition Congress are sharpening their poll pitches.  As the polling-day is coming closer with each passing day, not only the two main political parties but also the health department has pulled up its socks for Sanwer bypoll. The department has completed preparing teams to ensure safety and security of the voters in Sanwer. Health department has decided to deploy 425 staff members for providing masks and sanitising the voters at every poll booth while 49 doctors will ensure the health of the polling team and voters. "We will deploy 49 doctors of RRTs which were already playing a crucial role in controlling the spread of the disease in Indore," Nodal Covid-19 officer Dr Amit Malakar said. He added that out of 425 staff members, 380 would be the ASHAs while others would be paramedical staff.

Dry day observed November 1 to 3: As part of discipline in voters required, Dry day  is observed From November 1 to 3, when liquor shops will be shut. The Indore collector and district election officer, Manish Singh issued an order on Sunday declaring dry day from November 1 to November 3. The order was issued regarding the by-election in Sanwer Legislative Assembly Constituency. According to the PR issued by the Department of Public Relation, dry day will be in force from 6 pm of November 1 till the completion of the voting session for the by-election on November 3. Liquor shops in a radius of 3km from Sanwer constituency will also remain closed. On these dry days, liquor consumption, transport, sale and purchase will be prohibited. Also, no fermented or intoxicating substance or other substance of the same nature shall not be sold or distributed in any hotel, restaurant, bar, or any other public and private place within that polling area, states press release. Strict actions will be taken against violators.
