>In between the big controversies happening in India, the veteran choreographer, who is responsible for Madhuri Dixit and the late Sridevi dancing career, Saroj Khan has defended the presence of 'casting couch' in the film industry. During an interview, she gave a bizarre logic to justify it. She also said that it is done when the girls approve.

The term casting couch has spoilt the name of the film industry. Everyone thinks that if you want to be a part of the industry then you have to compromise. The term is used to described as sexual favours demanding by the casting directors or film producers. The favours were generally asked by the aspiring actors for the role in a film.

While giving an interview to Times Now, Saroj Khan said that there was nothing new in casting couch. The uncertain logic she gave was that "at least it gives livelihood", as quoted in oneindia.

As per the reports, she has said that casting couch provides a livelihood. Taking pleasure of a girl is done with her permission. Women are not sexually exploited and dumped. They are given livelihood. Khan also said that women are eventually responsible for casting couch as it is done with their approval.

Leading to this, a few weeks back, ambitious Telugu actress Sri Reddy staged a protest against casting couch in Hyderabad. The actress went topless for the protest on the streets after she got kicked from a hornet's nest. She also accused several leading filmmakers and producers, of trying the same with her.

According to reports, leading to this the government has asked the Film Development Corporation to form a specific body to control the issues of the casting couch.
