New Delhi: In the Kejriwal government of Delhi, Health Minister Satyendar Jain has informed on Thursday that not a single infected with Omicron variant has needed to be kept on oxygen support in the capital, as all the patients are asymptomatic. According to the new Genome Sequencing Report, 46 per cent of the total infected cases in the capital are of the Omicron variant and these include those coming from abroad as well as those without travel history.

Satyendra Jain said that 'Around 200 patients are undergoing treatment in the hospital, out of which 115 were found infected directly at the airport and all of them are asymptomatic. Out of these 200, 102 patients are from Delhi, while 98 are from outside. None of them has symptoms, but as a precaution, they have been admitted to the hospital.' On Wednesday, 923 new cases of corona were registered in Delhi and the infection rate has also increased to 1.29 percent. However, no death from Corona has been reported during this period.

The Health Minister said that new cases of infection are increasing all over the world, but it is less deadly than before and least patients have to be admitted to the hospital. Not a single Omicron patient has had to be put on oxygen support in Delhi. Jain also said that people need not panic.
