Islamabad: Saudi Arabia has finally put an end to the two-decade-long friendship between the two countries, with Pakistan ending the loan and oil supplies. According to media reports, a part of the $ 6.2 billion package announced by Saudi Arabia in November 2018, now Saudi Arabia needs returns from Pakistan. Pakistan has been asked to pay $ 1 billion. The $ 6.2 billion package had a total loan of $ 3 billion and an oil credit facility, which includes $ 3.2 billion.

According to information from sources, the deal was signed when Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman visited Pakistan in February last year. Now this fresh stance has come after Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi gave a strict warning to the Muslim Cooperation Organization (OIC), led by Saudi Arabia, for not taking a stand against India on Kashmir issue. Talking to the media, Qureshi told that "If you do not come forward in this case, then I will force PM Imran Khan to call a meeting of Muslim countries who are ready to stand with us on the issue of Kashmir."

He further said that "Once again I am respectfully telling the OIC that we want a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers. He said that just as Pakistan has separated itself from the Kuala Lumpur summit after Saudi Arabia's appeal, they should also against beside us and against India. Islamabad is pushing for a meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) as Article 370 has been abolished by India last year".
