Kolkata: There is a lot of buzz in the political corridors that Sourav Ganguly, former captain of the Indian cricket team and BCCI Chief, can attend PM Modi's rally in Bengal. In such a situation, the question is arising whether Ganguly will join BJP? A few days ago, when Amit Shah and Sourav Ganguly had appeared together, this discussion had also started that Ganguly could hold the BJP's hand.

If Ganguly joins BJP, it can prove to be the biggest advantage over BJP's sister in electoral environment. Amid speculation that PM Modi would attend the rally on March 7, the BJP on Tuesday said that the former cricketer has to decide in this regard whether he wants to attend the rally or not. BJP spokesman Shamik Bhattacharya said in Kolkata that if the former captain of Team India wants to participate in the program and his health and weather conditions allow it, then he is welcome.

Ganguly (48) was discharged from the hospital on 31 January. Earlier, another angioplasty was done to remove obstruction in the arteries leading to the heart. During the surgery, he had two more stents installed. In early January, Ganguly suffered a mild heart attack and was diagnosed with a triple vasel disease related to the heart. At that time a stent was placed in an artery.
