New Delhi: Only a few days are left for the Indian Premier League (IPL) to begin. On the other hand, the increasing cases of Corona have disturbed the entire country. More than half of the total new cases coming to the country have come from Maharashtra alone. In such a situation, concern has arisen about the IPL matches to be held in Mumbai. In view of the increasing cases of Corona, the state government has decided to take a weekend lockdown from Monday. 

At the same time, BCCI Chief Sourav Ganguly has made it clear that there will be no change in the schedule of IPL. Speaking to the media, Ganguly said that, 'We will not have any problem with the lockdown as we have taken permission from the state government to organize the match there. There are 10 IPL matches to be played at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium and all these matches will be played from 10 to 25 April inside the bio bubble. 

The first match of IPL will be played between Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings. Let me tell you, teams of Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Punjab Kings, and Rajasthan Royals are practicing here in bio bubble. At the same time, BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla says that the Indian Board is also considering vaccination of all the players related to IPL and is in touch with the Ministry of Health in this regard, a decision will be taken soon on this. All the players are eagerly waiting for the tournament to start.
