The CJI asked the petitioner to suggest a system to control the 'market' of child trafficking and prevent contractors from getting wages from child laborers. The court told the Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, appearing on behalf of the central government, that the government should take comprehensive steps to stop child trafficking. The lawyer has argued that in view of the lockdown, a large number of child laborers have returned to their home state and this environment is very favorable in that the child labor has been curbed to a great extent by preventing these child laborers from going out again.
