China has taken a big step against 19 countries around the world. China does not want COVID-19 to come back from these countries. China has banned the import of food items from 19 countries all over the world two days ago. China used to order thousands of tons of food items from 56 cold chain food companies of these countries. But fearing COVID-19 it has refused to take food from these companies.

On Tuesday, 8 September, China General Administration of Customs said that "41 of these 56 companies had taken the collective decision not to send their products to China by themselves. After that, the Chinese government has also banned all of them. China orders frozen foods from 56 companies from 19 countries, including Seafood, Chicken. Cold-chain foods mean that food is sent in a frozen form so that it can be used after months. But the fear of infection of COVID-19 virus in such food items is high. Because of which China is scared to import food items".

China used to order a lot of frozen shrimp fish from Ecuador. COVID-19 has been detected in Ecuadorian shrimp. These shrimps infected some people in China's coastal district Dalian, Liaoning Province and Chongqing City. After which China has refused to import shrimp.
