Jaipur, Today, a private school bus fell into the swollen Palki river in Bhilwara district after which at least 40 students were rescued.

The incident occurred this morning when the bus was on its way to the senior secondary school in Bijolia.

SHO (Bijolia) Panchu Ram said, “driver drove over the inundated bridge and due to heavy water flow the bus plunged into the river”.

"There were around 40 children including both girls and boys in the age group of 10-15 years. All the children are safe now," he added.

A case was registered against the bus driver.
