Chennai: Tamil Nadu's Stalin government on Wednesday decided to reopen schools for classes 9th to 12th. According to the official notification, schools will be started from September 1 following corona protocol. Tell you that teachers as well as other employees have been fully vaccinated.

A statement issued by the Office of the Director of Public Health and Preventive Medicine said that classes 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th are being allowed to be conducted in all schools (Government, Government aided, and private) with effect from 1st September 2021. State that the classes will be conducted with only 50 percent of students.

Guidelines issued for opening schools:-

1- Schools will be opened with 50% capacity only for classes IX to XII.

2- All schools will be screened within a week of opening. For this, teams of the National Child Health Programme, RBSK will be used for continuous testing. Other teams from PHC will also be called in if required.

3- Social distancing has to be followed. For this, there will be a 6 feet seating gap between all the students. If schools cannot follow it, they have to ensure that only one student is sitting on every bench.

4- School transport and campus have to be regularly sanitized to avoid any infection.

5- Schools will have to create a chart or timetable that will have shifts, rules, and other essentials to maintain social distancing.

6- Students and staff will have to wear masks throughout the time and undergo mandatory health check-ups.

7- No event or meeting will be allowed, which may violate the norms of social distancing. Assemblies have to be operated within the classrooms so that there is no big gathering.
