NEW DELHI: Jyotiraditya Scindia, the Union Civil Aviation Minister, introduced a coffee table book in New Delhi on Friday. The book showcases the traditional and local architectural designs of terminal buildings at 19 airports across India. Titled 'Traditional & Local Architecture on Elevation & Design of Upcoming New Terminal Buildings', the book not only highlights the architecture but also delves into the future plans and initiatives for airports, as stated by the Union Minister.

In a Hindi tweet, Scindia expressed that airport terminal buildings serve not only as points of transit between aircraft and ground transport, but also as reflections of India's diverse social and cultural tapestry. He continued to praise the efforts under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's guidance, noting that each terminal being constructed throughout the nation now encapsulates regional history, culture, and art. These terminals, in their essence, offer passengers a glimpse into India's ancient heritage.

Scindia's vision is to blend India's architectural magnificence with functional convenience in both existing and upcoming terminal structures. This harmonious fusion aims to convey the core of India's heritage to every traveler and passerby. The event was attended by prominent figures including Rajiv Bansal, Secretary of the Ministry of Civil Aviation; Chanchal Kumar, OSD of the Ministry of Civil Aviation; Zulfiquar Hasan, Director General of BCAS; Vikram Dev Dutt, Director General of DGCA; and Sanjeev Kumar, Chairman of AAI, apart from Scindia himself.
