In the Raj Kundra case, there are shocking revelations day by day. Now, recently, SEBI (Securities and Exchange Board of India) has taken action on Raj Kundra. In fact, SEBI has taken this action under the rules of Prevention of Insider Trading. According to the information received, SEBI has imposed a fine of Rs 3 lakh on Raj Kundra, his wife Shilpa Shetty, and his Viaan Industries. The action is said to have been taken on charges of delay in reporting the principal allotment. SEBI has given 45 days' time to the trio to pay the penalty.
Tell you that action has been taken on Shilpa Shetty because the case dates out to the year 2015. Shilpa was the mistress of Viaan Company at that time and Shilpa Shetty resigned from the company in 2020. Raj Kundra and Shilpa are now accused of giving out a lot of confidential information about their company. Not only that but the duo is also accused of manipulating the share price of their company Viaan Industries Limited. In 2015, there was a preferential allotment of shares worth Rs 2.57 crore and there were shares worth more than Rs 10 lakh during that time, so disclosure was necessary.
According to the same rules, Shilpa and Raj Kundra were required to be told on 2 trading days of transactions, but disclosure was given in May 2019. Let us also inform you that the Crime Branch of Mumbai Police arrested Raj Kundra on the night of July 19 in connection with the making of films and telecasting them through some apps. He was then kept in police custody till July 23 and last Friday extended raj's police custody till July 27. After that, when he was produced before the court on July 27, the court remanded Raj Kundra to 14 days of judicial custody.
