KOLKATA: Team India is on the lookout of wrap the ODI series as they take on Sri Lanka at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata, in the second ODI on Thursday.

SL skipper Dasun Shanaka won the toss, elected to bat first against India in the 2nd ODI at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, today. India are currently leading the 3-match series 1-0, after a 67-run victory in Guwahati.

Pathum Nissanka and left-arm pacer Dilshan Madushanka are both out owing to injury, according to toss winner Shanaka. The pair are replaced in the starting lineup by fast bowler Lahiru Kumara and batsman Nuwanidu Fernando.
Fast bowler Vishwa Fernando, a fellow Sri Lankan player, is the brother of Nuwanidu, who is playing in his first ODI in Kolkata. "Looking at the facts for the location, it is a very favourable wicket to bat first. Being at ease and playing naturally while scoring, "he added.

Leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal gets replaced in the playing eleven by left-arm wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav, according to India captain Rohit Sharma, since the latter didn't pull up well in the morning after diving while fielding in the first ODI of the series.

"I felt unsure of myself. Because of how we played last time, I had intended to bat first, but after seeing this field, I preferred to field. Collectively, there hasn't been much improvement." "We need to look forward and keep improving because what we've done in the past is now in the past. I enjoy performing here, and the enthusiastic audience always keeps me inspired. But because that happened in the past, I must start over" he said.
