New Delhi: The imposition of Section 144 has been declared across the entire city of Delhi for the forthcoming 30 days preceding the 'Delhi Chalo' March scheduled for February 13, as confirmed by a senior police official. The directive was issued by the Delhi Police Commissioner, Sanjay Arora, on Monday.

Under this order, any individual found contravening the mandate will be promptly apprehended. The decree explicitly prohibits the organization, assembly, or participation in processions, demonstrations, rallies, or marches within the geographical confines of Delhi/New Delhi, regardless of their political, social, or any other motives.

Moreover, the order specifies a ban on the transportation of individuals or materials via tractor trolleys, trucks, or any other vehicles, especially those carrying potential weapons or tools such as sticks, swords, firearms, or explosives. The prohibition extends to the carrying of firearms, explosives, corrosive substances, or any lethal weapons or articles capable of offensive or defensive use in public places within Delhi/New Delhi.

Additionally, any obstruction of roads, passages, or public gatherings by agitators or the general public is strictly forbidden, except for activities explicitly permitted under law.

Meanwhile, DCP (North East) Joy Tirkey informed the media on Monday about the comprehensive monitoring efforts, including scrutiny of social media platforms. He stated, "We are closely monitoring all activities, including social media, and are receiving real-time updates. Advanced deployments have been stationed deep within Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Punjab. We are fully equipped and have initiated preparations in the North East district since February 11..."

He also mentioned, "There is anticipated pressure on the Singhu and Tikri borders based on available information... Detailed arrangements have been laid out, including multi-layered border checks utilizing vehicles, JC barricades, and iron barricades. Notice has been issued regarding the imposition of Section 144. We are fully prepared for tomorrow's 'Delhi Chalo' march..."
