Srinagar: Security forces busted a terror hideout in Manyal area of Rajouri district of The Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday. Security forces have recovered five firearms and some other objectionable items including AK-47 rifles from here. This information is provided by the authorities.
He said the search operation was launched at Manyal, Dana and Kopra after the Indian Army and police came to know about suspicious activity in the high altitude areas of Azamtabad area of Thanamandi. The official said that during the operation, the joint team raided a hideout in Manyal and recovered eight magazines and 105 bullets with four pistols, along with an AK rifle, two magazines and 54 bullets and a rope. An FIR has been registered in this regard and an inquiry has been initiated.
At the same time, cases of corona infection are also on the rise in Jammu and Kashmir. During the last 24 hours, 1723 new cases of covid have been registered and 34 people have died. A total of 599 cases and 13 deaths were reported from Jammu and 1124 cases and 21 deaths from Kashmir, while 2731 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovery. So far 2,97,602 people have been infected with corona in Jammu and Kashmir, out of which 2,63,961 have recovered. The total number of active cases is 29,615, out of which 10,612 are from Jammu and 19,003 are from Kashmir.
