Kupwada: In a significant achievement, security forces successfully foiled an infiltration bid by terrorists in the Machhal sector of Kupwara district, resulting in the elimination of four terrorists on Friday, June 24, 2023. Prompt action by the security forces ensued as they engaged the terrorists in a fierce gunfight upon confrontation. The exchange of fire culminated in the elimination of the four terrorists, who have now been identified as Suhail Ahmed Rather, a resident of Sopore, and Adil Hussain Mir, a resident of Handwara. Two other terrorists remain unidentified at this time.

During the operation, security forces also seized a significant cache of arms and ammunition from the encounter site. The operation is ongoing as security forces meticulously comb the area to ensure the elimination of any potential threats.
