The cryptocurrency market was trading mixed on Monday, after a quiet weekend. The digital token market was bleeding as investors remained cautious in the face of weakness in riskier asset classes and the Fed's hawkish stance.
Bitcoin is currently trading at Rs 37,34,081, while LUNA is up 6.16 percent to Rs 6,200.01. Other altcoins in the top ten digital tokens, with the exception of XRP and Terra, were trading lower during the morning session. Avalanche fell 8 percent, while Terra and XRP increased by up to 7 percent each. Memecoin SHIB fell by approximately 2.47 percent, while DOGE fell by 1.09 percent to trade at Rs 13.49.
In comparison to the previous day, the global crypto market cap fell slightly to USD 2.20 trillion. However, the total crypto market volume increased by about 1 percent to USD 78.82 billion.
Meanwhile, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has reportedly conveyed to its central board that it favours a complete ban on cryptocurrencies, according to people familiar with the central bank's board meeting deliberations.
