Taylor Swift showed up with a glitzy look at the after-party following her appearance on the red carpet at the MTV Video Music Awards in a gorgeous silver dress. The singer ended up being the major winner at the event as she took home the Video of the Year trophy, Best Director Award, and Best Longform Video Award at the celebrity-studded gala.

Taylor offered her fans a huge surprise during her speech of acceptance for the prize by announcing the release of her new album, Midnights, in October. Swift delighted everyone with her second VMAs appearance as she made her way to the after-party of the awards wearing a blue playsuit with stars embossed on it after sharing the good news with her followers. The singer's stunning fur coat gave her appearance even more glitz.

The singer also posted about her new album on Instagram, announcing it with the words, "This is a collection of music written in the middle of the night, a journey through terrors and sweet dreams. The floors we pace and the demons we face. For all of us who have tossed and turned and decided to keep the lanterns lit and go searching – hoping that just maybe, when the clock strikes twelve… we’ll meet ourselves." 

In videos from the event, Taylor can be seen dancing along with BLACKPINK as they perform. Taylor was spotted having a great time during the awards ceremony. When BLACKPINK's Lisa won the K-Pop Award, Swift also offered the biggest applause.
