You click a selfie to post on social media yet or change the DP (display picture), but will soon reveal your selfie blood pressure. A little strange to hear, but researchers at the University of Toronto in Canada have claimed that blood pressure can be detected from selfie videos.

For your information, scientists conducted research on 1,328 people in China and Canada for its testing. During the research, accurate results were up to 96 percent. During testing, 3 types of blood pressure were measured. In fact, scientists have developed a transdermal optical imaging technique to detect blood pressure from the facial skin. A 2-minute selfie video was used during research.

How does transdermal optical imaging technology work?

When you create a selfie video, the optical sensors on the mobile camera record the red ray on the face. Red ray is reflected due to hemoglobin under the skin and this ray detects blood pressure or blood pressure in the body. The company, Neurologic, has also launched the Anura app that provides a 30-minute selfie video that provides heartbeat and stress levels. This app will be released soon to detect blood pressure.
