A shocking incident comes to light where senior IAS officer Sanjeev Hans and former MLA Gulab Yadav. They have been accused of raping a woman on multiple occasions and filming the act.

The victim had filed a petition in this regard in a court in Bihar. The two have been accused of gang-raping the woman at gunpoint. They assaulted her multiple times including assaulting her in a hotel in Delhi in 2021. The victim had filed the petition in the year 2021 after which the bench sought a preliminary inquiry report into the matter from the Patna police. The Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (ACJM) of Danapur Civil Court on Sunday ordered the Patna police  to register a rape case against the bureaucrat and the former legislator. During the police investigation, it was revealed that Sanjeev Hans and Gulab Yadav were present in a hotel in Delhi along with the victim woman.

The woman in her petition stated that ex-MLA promised her Bihar Women Commission membership and asked her to come to his residence at Rukanpura, Patna with her biodata. She was raped their at gunpoint. When she went to file a case, he asked his house help to get 'sindoor' and told her he will marry her,”

The official said, “He then took her to Pune and told her that he divorced his first wife. There, he and Sanjeev Hans raped her after mixing something in her food. They made a video of the act. After that, they raped her on multiple occasions. The police station has been asked to file an FIR. She also gave birth to a child and we filed a petition for a DNA test. On Court's order, the test has been performed.”

The victim claimed that despite several written complaints to the Patna Police in 2021 for registering an FIR the police remained silent and did not take any action due to the high-profile case. After this she had requested to register an FIR in the court of ACJM of Danapur but it was dismissed there on the ground that the police have not submitted the reports.
