Vaishali: In a shocking incident coming to light from Bihar, a husband killed his wife just because her family could not complete the demand for expensive jackets in dowry. The husband strangled his wife to death. The deceased has been identified as Ritika Kumari, a resident of the Chhapra district in Bihar. 

Ritika, a resident of Mangaidih village, was married in Vaishali 8 months ago. Ritika was being tortured for dowry after marriage. According to the complaint, Anita Devi has stated that she married daughter Ritika on May 2, 2022, to Kalicharan Singh alias Bulbul Singh, a resident of Vaishali. Bulbul Singh killed his wife because of an expensive jacket.

According to a report received, Ritika's family members are saying that there has been a demand for a four-wheeler since the time of marriage. The girl's mobile number was also changed so that she could not talk at home. Anita Devi said that before the daughter was killed, the son-in-law had also tortured her over expensive jackets. The main culprit husband has been arrested. Three others are on the run.
