At the beginning of the first trading session of December, the Indian stock market has been doing well on Monday. At the time of writing the news, BSE's Sensex was trading at 40,963.91 with a gain of 170.10 points. In addition, the NSE Nifty was also trading at 12,095 with a gain of 38.95 points. Of the companies in the Nifty 50, 21 were trading in green and 28 in red. In addition, 14 of the 30 companies involved in the SENSEX were trading with gains and 16 companies were trading in the red mark.
On the NSE, Bharti Airtel shares were trading 7.33 per cent higher at Rs 474.90 in early trade. Similarly, Grasim saw a gain of 4.17 percent, Reliance Industries 3.51 percent, ZEEL 2.15 percent and Bharti Infratel 1.92 percent.
The companies which have seen decline in Nifty 50 include Tech Mahindra, ONGC, Bajaj Finance, Eicher Motors and Dr. Reddy's. Talking about sectoral indices, barring banks and media index, all other sectoral indexes were seen trading in red mark. Nifty Media saw the maximum increase of 0.75 percent. In addition, Nifty PSU bank was trading at 0.46 per cent, Nifty Private Bank 0.22 per cent and Nifty Bank 0.21 per cent. Rupee condition: On Monday, the rupee starts with weakness. The rupee opened at 71.78, down 4 paise against the dollar. Besides, the rupee had weakened by 13 paise to close at 71.74 against the dollar on the previous trading day.
