Serena Williams has remained three titles winner in 2002, 2013, 2015 at Roland Garrons, French open. The record holder, holding Australian open seven times, Wimbledon seven times and US open Six times. At 39, she came in with her hopes of ending her quest for No.24, to tie up with Margaret, but an injury made her exit suddenly. Before facing her opponent Tsvetana Pironkova in the second round, she exits the tournament due to left Achilles’ tendon injury. She tweaked it during her semifinal loss against Victoria Azarenka at the US Open on September 10.

Williams said her pain increased after her first-round matchup with fellow American Kristie Ahn in straight sets and was struggling to walk. She then realized to withdraw from the tournament. Achilles injuries are the ones that create long-term damage if not treated well. Serena Williams is planning to take four to six weeks rest of sitting and doing nothing allowing her leg to heal completely instead of playing at Roland Garrons. Williams said, “Doing the math on the rest, I don’t know if I’ll be able to play another tournament this year”. She was much confident about continuing in her quest to tie Margaret court’s record of 24 Grand Slam Victories.

“I love playing tennis, Obviously. I love Competing. And I love being out here. It’s my job, been my job. And I’m pretty good at it still. So until I feel like I’m not good at it- then I’ll be like, ‘Oh, okay’”, Williams added.
