In order to identify the manholes and lanes, the Jal Board officials have decided to use the maps provided by GHMC and accordingly large Air Tech and Mini Air Tech machines will be used for cleaning works. Jal Board has started cleaning work from Caravan assembly constituency and sanctioned Rs 60 lakh for other works including repair of sewerage line in Panch Bhai Alwa and Sabzi Mandi of Ganganagar.
According to HMWS&SB Managing Director Dana Kishore, additional Shramik and Air Tech vehicles will be provided to the officers to carry out the cleaning works. “The new machines have been brought in to easily move through narrow lanes where it is difficult for manual laborers to clean small pipes,” said the MD. However, there are around 300 mini pipelines across For heavy waste interception at GHMC limits, Air Tech machines will be used.
