A Job for sex racket comes to light form the IT city of India where 13 women were sexually exploited on the pretext of giving them Job in IT. According to the information A man raped multiple women after becoming friends on social media and allegedly sexually exploited them on the pretext of securing jobs. The man has been identified as Dillep Prasad. He was 28 year old.
As per the information, He pretended to be a woman and used the aliases 'Monika' and 'Manager' on social media. He tricked 13 women on the pretext of giving them job and sexually exploited them. The accused befriended women who were vulnerable, unemployed and desperately seeking jobs and approached them on social media. The accused reportedly asked the women to meet him assuring help with IT jobs. The accused even had significant work experience and was well-paid. Due to this, it became easy for him to lure women.
The accused his position to manipulate the women and cajoled them into having sexual intercourse with him in hotel rooms. Not only this but he even filmed the act on his personal electronic devices and used the video to blackmail them so that they have to meet him again. As of now a case has been registering against him under IPC section 376 and IT Act, 2000. The matter came to light after one of the victims approached and lodged a complaint with the cybercrime cell on January 26.
The accused confessed to hitting upon the sex-for-jobs scam during the Covid-19 lockdown. DCP Baba said that cops believe that he is a habitual offender, possibly doing similar things since his college days. The DCP said, "We are happy at least one of the victims approached us. It is brave of her to face societal odds and trust police. We want women to feel confident about approaching police for any crime that affects them. We will do our best to crack down on offenders and criminals,".
