Malayalam filmmaker Jasik Ali has been apprehended by the Koyilandy police on charges of alleged sexual assault involving a minor girl. The director, aged 36, is accused of exploiting the minor by enticing her with film roles. After a thorough search effort, he was located at a residence in Nadakkavu where he had been evading capture. He has now been placed in judicial custody, following his arrest under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Jasik Ali, hailing from Kuruvangad in Kozhikode, was taken into custody due to accusations of sexually abusing a minor under the pretext of providing her with opportunities in the film industry. The diligent efforts of Circle Inspector MV Biju, leading the intensified search operation, resulted in Ali's capture at the aforementioned residence in Nadakkavu.
