Now there is going to be a crisis on the jobs of government employees as well. According to an order of the Punjab government, the search has started in government departments for the employees who are not required by the concerned departments or who do the work.

For your information, let us tell you that it has become clear from the circular issued by the Personnel Department that the state government has now made up its mind to show the way to the employees who have been denied from the departments. However, the personnel department started efforts in this regard on the basis of a meeting chaired by the Chief Secretary last year. At that time, the departments were asked to send a list of such employees who have done 15, 20, 25 and 30 years jobs but now they have no work in the departments. But no department had responded to this.

Apart from this, now the state's economic condition has become very weak due to the lockdown. Due to this, this matter is now being taken seriously. In this regard, the Personal Department has issued a reminder on 29 May. In this episode, a letter sent to the water sources department has said that in view of the decision of retrenchment of the officers and employees who are denied in the department, such a list should be sent in the next seven days. According to sources, these reminders have also been sent to other departments.
