Lucknow: The Shaligram stone being brought from Janakpur in Nepal by two big trucks has reached the Gorakhnath temple in Uttar Pradesh. After that, people are coming here in large numbers to have darshan in the temple. After rest on Tuesday night, the Shaligram stone will be sent to Ayodhya on February 1. The child form of Lord Shri Ram and the statue of Mother Sita is to be made from 60 million years old two giant Shaligram stones, obtained from the Kali Gandaki river of Nepal. The statue of Ramlala will be 5 to 5.5 feet in child form.

The height of the idol is fixed in such a way that the sun's rays fall directly on Ramlala's forehead on the day of Ram Navami. These stones are coming from Nepal for the Shri Ram temple being built in Ayodhya. Wherever these stones are coming out, people are reaching there to touch them and have darshan. Rudrabhishek of these stones was performed on Thursday, 26 January 2023 at Galeshwar Mahadev Temple. After reaching the Gorakhnath temple, the stones will be welcomed and worshiped at the Hindu Sevashram of revered saints. After that, all the people involved in the yatra will have food and rest in the temple. The next day, on the morning of February 1, after worshiping the Yatra with rituals, will be sent to Ayodhya by Goraksh Peethadhishwar UP CM Yogi Adityanath.

According to the scriptures, the marriage of Mother Tulsi and Lord Shaligram is also mentioned in mythological texts. Shaligram stones are found only in the Gandaki river. On the way to the Himalayas, the water collides with the rock and breaks these stones into small pieces. It is a tradition that in the house where Shaligram is worshipped, happiness, peace, and mutual love prevail there.
