Mysore: A heart-wrenching incident has come to light in Mysore, Karnataka. The body of an 85-year-old woman was found naked in a field here in Hassan district. According to the information received from the police, the criminal first wanted to rape the old woman. When the woman protested, she was killed by crushing her head with a stone. Thereafter, the predator sexually assaulted the dead body. The police have also caught the accused in this heinous incident. He has confessed to the crime. The culprit is said to be the identity of the woman. This massacre has shaken the entire region.

According to the Mysore police, an 85-year-old woman had gone to the farm in Erehalli village of Arsikere taluk on April 1 and did not return home. The family members lodged a missing report at the Arsikere rural police station on April 2. Officers said that after a search on April 2, the naked body of the woman was found at an isolated place near her farm. Whose head was crushed by a stone. Due to their investigation, the police found that the culprit was roaming in a field near the crime scene with his bike three days earlier. The criminal Mithun Kumar (32) has confessed to his crime upon being interrogated.

The police said that the culprit was known to the deceased. The woman came on foot from her home in Madalu village to visit her farm, which is 2 kilometres away from home. But while returning, he could not find the way. Seeing her, the miscreant came on a motorcycle and offered to drop her home. Since she knew him, the woman got on the motorcycle, but the criminal took her to a nearby field instead of home. Thereafter, the accused tried to rape her. When the woman protested, he broke her head with a stone and killed her on the spot. The police said he raped her after she died. This incident has shaken the villagers. The matter is being investigated by the same police.
