Shammi Kapoor was born on October 21, 1931, in Mumbai. He died on August 14, 2011. Shammi made his Bollywood debut with the 1953 film 'Jeevan Jyoti', and the film did not do anything amazing at the box office. However, after this film, he worked in the film 'Tum Sa Nahi Dekha' in the year 1957 and this film got successful. After this, he never looked back. He appeared in many super hit films like 'Dil Deke Dekho', 'Singapore', 'Junglee', 'College Girl', 'Professor', 'China Town', 'Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya' which you must have seen.

Let us tell you that the actresses of that era Nutan and Shammi Kapoor grew up together because they were neighbours of each other. It is said that Shammi loved her since childhood and Nutan also liked him, and when both of them reached adolescence, both of them decided to get married. However, nothing of that sort could happen. Shammi Kapoor was a wonderful artist of the Bollywood industry, and he was a theatre artist in childhood. In the year 1948, Shammi Kapoor got his first job where he was working as a junior artist and he used to get a salary of Rs 150 per month for that work. However, apart from this, another story of Shammi Kapoor is very famous.

It is said that Shammi also had to drop out of school due to his brother. Yes, what happened was that Raj Kapoor got a big role in 'Shakuntala Natak' for which he was called for rehearsals. But when he did not get leave from school, he fought with his principal and left the school. Shammi had to suffer the consequences of his brother fighting and he too had to drop out of that school. Shammi Kapoor used to work as a labourer in his father's theatre and used to take his salary from him. Today Shammi is not in this world but he is alive in people's hearts.
