In fact, Adi Shankaracharya, who reestablished Hinduism, was born about 1200 years ago in the Namboodiri Brahmin family in kalti, 5-6 miles from Cochin. At present, the Brahmins of the same clan are the ravals of badrinath temple. At the same time, only Namboodri Brahmins sit on the throne of Shankaracharya of Jyotirmath. You must all know that Adi Shankaracharya was a very talented child in his childhood. In fact, his father passed away a few years after his birth. It is said that Guru Shankaracharya had attained maharatha in the Vedas at a very young age by memorizing them.

The story of Adi Shankaracharya's birth - The Brahmin couple did not have any children even after many years of their marriage. The Brahmin couple worshipped Lord Shiva to have children. Pleased with his hard penance, Lord Shiva appeared to him in a dream and asked him to ask for a boon. The Brahmin couple then wished Lord Shiva a child who had a long life and spread his fame far and wide. Then Lord Shiva said that either your child can have longevity or omniscient. The longevity will not be omniscient and if the omniscient child wants it, it will not be longevity. Then the Brahmin couple wished for an omniscient child instead of longevity as a boon. After giving the boon, Lord Shiva was born as a child to the Brahmin couple. The Brahmin couple named their son Shankar because of the boon. Shankaracharya was a talented child since childhood.

His father died when he was just three years old. At the age of three, he acquired knowledge of Malayalam. At an early age, he had fullknowledge of the Vedas and studied the Scriptures at the age of 12. At the age of 16, he had composed more than 100 texts. Later, he had taken dispassion at the behest of his mother. At the age of 32, he took samadhi in Kedarnath. Adi Shankaracharya established monasteries in all four corners of the country to propagate Hinduism which is today called shankaracharya peeth.
