Mumbai: Attacking the BJP, NCP chief Sharad Pawar said that leaders should not forget to understand the importance of voters as powerful leaders like Indira Gandhi and Atal Bihari Vajpayee also had to face defeat in the elections. Former Maharashtra CM and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis has strongly criticized Sharad Pawar's slogan of 'Me Ponah Yen' (I will come again) during last year's assembly elections.

Reacting to Fadnavis' statement, NCP Chief Sharad Pawar said that voters thought that this attitude smelled of arrogance and felt that these people should be taught a lesson. Pawar also said that reports of differences between the Uddhav Thackeray-led ruling Maha Vikas Aghadi coalition partners - Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress - are 'not even a reality'. Sharad Pawar said this during an interview by Shiv Sena leader and executive editor of the party mouthpiece 'Saamana'.

The first part of the three-part interview series is published in the Marathi daily on Saturday. Let us tell you that this is the first time a non-Shiv Sena leader has been included in the marathon interview series in the party mouthpiece. So far, it has conducted interviews with the late Bal Thackeray and Uddhav Thackeray.
