Islamabad: The total number of corona patients in the country has increased to 2,46,351 after 2,752 new cases of coronavirus infection were reported in Pakistan on Saturday. The Health Ministry has told the media today that after the death of 65 more people due to infection, the number of those who died from it has increased to 5,123. The ministry also informed about the improvement in the rate of people recovering from the Corona epidemic. 1,53,134 patients have been discharged from various hospitals and health centers across the country.

The maximum number of 1,02,368 cases of infection has been reported from Sindh. After this, 85,991 cases have been reported in Punjab, 29,775 in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, 13,927 in Islamabad, 11,128 in Balochistan, 1,630 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 1,532 cases in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). A total of 15,38,427 Tests have been conducted in Pakistan so far, including 23,569 Tests done in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, in view of the health crisis, the National Command and Control Center (NOCC) has prepared detailed guidelines for the upcoming Eid-ul-Juha, when cattle markets will be set up across the country for the sale of the sacrificial animals. The NOCC set up cattle markets on the outskirts of cities for a specific period of time during Eid-ul-Juha later this month, conducting mandatory checks of cattle sellers, as well as implementing standard operating procedures to the ulema (Muslim scholars) is recommended to include.
