Astronomers call the direction of the Sun travels with respect to the local standard of rest is known as the "solar apex". The exact part of 'solar apex' is located southwest of the star Vega can be seen on a star map with neighboring constellation Lyra, The harp. Many other estimations are made for the time taken by Sun to complete this journey. There is a specific estimate that it takes 230 million years to complete this process. The speed is around 140 miles per second. If you live for 100 years, then the sun must have traveled 122,640,000 miles.
