Expressing surprise at PM Modi's statement on NRC, NCP chief Sharad Pawar said that whenever a major policy is brought, it is churned at the government level. This type of policy is not suddenly presented to the country without discussion. Secondly, the Union Home Minister Amit Shah had said in Parliament that NRC will be implemented in the entire country. Pawar further said that President Ram Nath Kovind, while addressing the joint session of Parliament, had talked about implementing NRC across the country.
