Mumbai: The stock market of the country is closed on Friday i.e. today on the occasion of Mahashivaratri. On Saturday and Sunday there is a weekly holiday in the stock market. It means to say that there will be no trading in the stock market for three consecutive days. In such a situation, it will now be traded directly on the stock market on Monday.

Earlier, on Thursday, the Sensex closed at 41,170.12, down 153 points, or 0.37 per cent, due to selling. Similarly, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange was down 45.05 points, or 0.37 per cent, to close at 12,080.85. At the same time, the Sensex was down 86.62 points, or 0.21 percent, while the NSE Nifty lost 32.65 points or 0.26 percent.

According to stock market traders, investors have become a little more cautious due to the concern that the corona virus will have an economic impact on the global economy. Meanwhile, the rise in the price of crude oil has also influenced the perception of investors. Let us tell you that the price of Brent crude has gone up by 0.14 percent to reach $ 59.20 per barrel. At the same time, the Indian rupee fell 10 paise to close at 71.64 against the dollar.
