Mumbai: Everything in the country and the world has come to a standstill due to Corona. The stock market opened again with a major fall amid the ongoing lockdown in many cities across the country. The Sensex lost 2307.16 points to open at 27,608.80. On the Nifty, trading started at 7,945.70, down 8.66 percent. All the Sensex stocks are trading on the red mark.

When the market opened this morning, investors lost Rs 8 lakh crore in the initial 15 minutes of trading. As soon as the market opened, 150 stocks hit the lower circuit, while 340 stocks are trading at their 52-week lows. At 9.32 am, the Sensex was trading at 27482, falling 2433 points (8.14 per cent). At this time, the Nifty was trading at 8049 with a steep fall of 693 points (7.96 per cent). If this trend of deterioration continues, a lower circuit may be formed at any moment.

Let us tell you that this week is going to be very important for the stock market. Since today, most cities in the country are under lockdown. All facilities like train, bus, public transport and metro are closed. Even the stock market will run from home today. This will be the first time that brokers will invest in their place from home instead of investors. Their effort is that working from home should not affect the trade volume.
