The stock market opened today with a fall on Wednesday. The Bombay Stock Exchange Sensitive Index Sensex is down about 69 points today to open at 40,606.01. After the market opened, the Sensex went up to the lowest mark of 40,547.85 by 9.26 am. On one hand, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange is down about 25 points today at 11,969.95. By the time of writing the news, it went up to a minimum of 11,954.55 points. The Sensex was trading 122.49 points down at 40,552.96 on Wednesday at 9.28 and the Nifty was down 39.10 points at 11,955.10. Out of 50 companies of Nifty, 18 companies 'shares appeared on the green mark, 31 companies' shares on the red mark and one company shares traded without any change.

The Indian rupee opened today with a fall on Wednesday. The rupee today opened 12 paise against a dollar at 71.80. It is being told that the Indian rupee closed at 71.68 against the dollar on Tuesday. On Wednesday morning, the crude oil WTI futures were trending at $ 56.50 per barrel with an increase of 0.71 % and the futures price of Brent Oil was up by 0.74 % at 61.28 dollars per barrel.
