One of the most loved actors of Bollywood Shashi Kapoor was in deeply in love with Jennifer Kendall, Their love story is very tragic. Jennifer was diagnosed with colon cancer in 1982, and she lost the battle with cancer and died in 1984. After her demise, Shashi was completely shattered, and it really destroyed him. The actor started leaving alone. Shashi Kapoor was enthralled by English actress Jennifer Kendal. He met Jennifer while working with his father Prithviraj Kapoor in the legendary Prithvi Theatres. The couple soon fell in love, got hitched in July 1958, and were blessed with three children, Kunal Kapoor, Karan Kapoor, and Sanjana Kapoor.

Jenifer’s Father was not ready for their wedding

Jennifer's father doesn’t want  his daughter to get married with Shashi Kapoor. He often used to make strange comments on Shashi Kapoor which  he used to tolerate everything for Jennifer. When this went on for a long time, Jennifer left her father's theater company with Shashi and married the actor. When both of them got married, Shashi was 20 years old and Jennifer was 25 years old. Jennifer and Shashi Kapoor were very happy in their marriage.

After a few years distance started coming between the two. Shashi Kapoor started busy with his films, due to which he could not give time to Jennifer, so Jennifer also started giving her full contribution to Prithvi Theater.

Shashi Kapoor cried a lot

In 1983, it was found that Jennifer was suffering from cancer.  She spent the last moments of his life with his parents in his UK home. Shashi Kapoor got Jennifer treated a lot, but she could not recover. In  1984, Jennifer died.  Shashi Kapoor's son Kunal Kapoor told in his father's biography that he saw his father crying for the first time.  After Jennifer’s death, Shashi Kapoor started living alone. Once he took a boat to the sea in Goa and cried a lot in the middle of the sea.
