New Delhi: Veteran Congress leader and Lok Sabha MP Shashi Tharoor has said in a tweet after the removal of Sachin Pilot from the posts of Rajasthan deputy CM and Congress state unit president that he was saddened by Pilot's 'leaving' the party. He tweeted with his official Twitter handle, writing, "I am saddened by Sachin Pilot leaving Congress. Hopefully! The matter would not have reached here. Instead of being separated, he should have joined the effort to make the party better and effective to fulfill his dreams."

It is noteworthy that earlier MP Priya Dutt said that it is "unfortunate" that the party lost two important young leaders Jyotiraditya Scindia and Pilot, full of potential. She also said that she does not believe that being ambitious is a "wrong" thing. Priya, former Mumbai MP and actor Sanjay Dutt's sister tweeted that "another friend left the party". Both Sachin and Jyotiraditya were co-workers and are good friends. Unfortunately, our party lost two big young leaders full of possibilities. I don't think being ambitious is a bad thing. He worked very hard in difficult coffee. ''

Scindia, the biggest leader of Madhya Pradesh and once loyal to the Gandhi family, left the party in March this year and joined the BJP. Congress government fell in Madhya Pradesh after the resignation of 22 rebel MLAs.
