New Delhi: Ending all speculations of alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Delhi Congress chief Sheila Dikshit on Saturday said Congress would announce the names of candidates for the seven Lok Sabha seats in the national capital in a couple of days. With this announcement, Delhi is all set to witness a triangular contest between the BJP, Congress, and AAP. "The party will announce the candidates on Sunday or day after," Dikshit said, ending speculation over AAP-Congress alliance.

AAP, on the other hand, has already ruled out chances of an alliance in Delhi. Addressing a press conference yesterday Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia accused the grand old party of backtracking on poll alliance and said that they had no intention forming an alliance in the state.  "The Congress doesn't have a single seat in Delhi, but they are demanding three seats from us. In Punjab, we have 4 MPs and 20 MLAs, yet they are not giving us any seats to contest from the state," he said.

Mr. Sisodia also said that Congress had been playing with them and continues to confuse them about the coalition in the two states. But, the time was up now and there weren't going to be any more talks about the seat-sharing, he said. "We are strong in Delhi, while Congress is nowhere close. In Haryana, they denied, even when we offered them seven seats. There is no hope left for a coalition with Congress. We have also closed all the negotiations now. There is no question of seat-sharing with Congress in Delhi," Sisodia said.
