Bollywood filmmaker Shekhar Kapoor says how he worked with risk in his first film, and that's because it was a risk to make 'Masoom' in the era when a powerful Villain film was a key part of the film and now the film is released. 36 years later, Shekhar Kapoor has shared the experiences of that era.

Shekhar Kapoor stepped into directing from the 1983 film 'Masoom' and was then urged by many to change the script of the film. Shekhar Kapoor says he was happy that he had the courage to silence all those voices and follow his approach. Sharing a poster of the film recently, Shekhar wrote on Twitter that, "Many people wanted me to change the script of 'Masoom'."

The filmmaker further said, "Those who were famous, experienced and knowledgeable, they told me that there is no drama in the film, there is no villain. I was then new, unknown, unskilled and untrained, though I was a rebel and I am thankful to God for this."
