Her daughter Samisha was born through serogacy. Shilpa and Raj were planning a second child after having a son, but due to a disease, Shilpa could not become a mother. She told, "After Vian, I had wanted a second child for a long time. But I had a disease called auto immune, also known as APLA. It was not allowing my intention to be fulfilled. Whenever I was pregnant, this disease used to come in the middle. That's why some of my miscarages also happened. " She further said that, "It was a genuine issue. I did not want to grow up single child because we also had two sisters. I know how important it is to have other siblings. In view of this, I also looked at other ideas, but they were not successful. At one time I even thought of adopting the child, I just had to give my name, everything was going to happen. But then the Christian machinery stopped. I had to wait for four years. After this I became very irritated. After that I decided to resort to surrogacy. ''

There was a moment when after many attempts, I felt that I would have to take care of my second child with my mind.
