Mumbai: If the cabinet is expanded in Maharashtra, the Shinde government will fall. Therefore, the cabinet is not being expanded in the state. This claim has been made by Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MLA Amol Mitkari. He has alleged that the temporary handing over of accounts in the run-up of the Assembly session clearly means that there will be no cabinet expansion. Mitkari has challenged the government to expand the cabinet at least in January if it has the strength.

He further said that this will not happen because Devendra Fadnavis knows that if the cabinet is expanded, there will be fights, so there will be no expansion of the cabinet. Mitkari also said that when the court bench decides, the membership of mlAs involved in this government will be canceled. Then the government will fall on its own. Mitkari further said that if the Love Jihad Law is passed, it will be a welcome step. But if there is a conspiracy by the BJP to target Muslims while passing that law, then it should be foiled. Love jihad is not a question for the youth, but the question of providing employment is for the youth. You went to Gujarat with crores of jobs and won Gujarat and are very happy that we have won the world, but you will have to face the consequences in 2024.

Explain that a law against love jihad can be made soon in Maharashtra. According to sources, cases of love jihad are constantly coming up in the state. Due to this, BJP MLAs have been demanding love jihad law for a long time. The Eknath Shinde government of Maharashtra may soon introduce an Act in the state. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has said that he is looking at such laws in many states. On that basis, it will be decided. At present, many states including Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh have laws against love jihad. In Uttar Pradesh, forced conversion after marriage, making false marriages to anyone, and promoting such marriages, is a crime under the law. If found guilty, the offender can be jailed for 3 to 5 years and fined up to two lakh rupees.
