Shiv Sena calls for Centre to address growing unemployment, inflation

Mumbai: Shiv Sena said on Monday that India should learn from Sri Lanka and Japan and push the Center to address the nation's issues with unemployment and inflation.

Shinzo Abe, a former prime minister of Japan, was recently killed, while the president and prime minister of Sri Lanka resigned over widespread protests over the country's economic crisis.

In an editorial, Shiv Sena publication Saamana stated: "India must take the incident in Japan and Sri Lanka seriously. Although it is incorrect to contrast Sri Lanka's situation with that of our nation, an LPG cylinder now costs Rs 1,052. Beneficiaries of Ujjwala must also pay Rs 853 per cylinder, which is too expensive for the underprivileged. When compared to the dollar, the rupee has dropped to Rs 80." "The BJP won the popular vote by appealing to their desire for inexpensive and prosperous times. LPG costs have increased eight times in the last 12 months. The average public's back has been shattered by inflation... Jobs are being taken away from people, "It was awful.

The report further emphasised the fact that despite the claimed expenditure of millions of rupees to overthrow the opposition governments, many national concerns remain unresolved. "There does not appear to be a way out of the economic slump, but at the same time, two thousand crore rupees are being readily spent to collapse the opposition."

It warned the Center of the repercussions, saying, "Our nation has withstood similar storms because of the unity and restraint of the populace, but if the populace is starving, they will seize control. There is a tide in the sea, and ships smash with rocks. History supports this.  This is what history says. The  Sri Lankan people did the same. The mindset of the people of the world is no different. The throne is not immortal." it said.
