Lucknow: The BJP has spoiled the opposition's taste at a dinner hosted in honour of NDA's presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu. The dinner at CM Yogi Adityanath's residence on Friday was also attended by SBSP national president Om Prakash Rajbhar, SP chief Shivpal Yadav and Jansatta Dal chief Raghuraj Pratap Singh 'Raja Bhaiya.'
MLA Umashankar Singh attended the dinner on behalf of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). It is being told that the BJP's 'dinner diplomacy' before the presidential election has also made a dent in the opposition votes. However, the real picture will be clear only on the day of voting. It is believed that now along with the MLAs and MPs of the BJP and allies, 6 votes of SBSP, 1 of Shivpal and two of Raja Bhaiya's party will also fall in favour of Murmu. The BSP has already announced its support for Murmu. She will also get the votes of one MLA and ten MPs of the BSP. According to sources, the BJP's focus is on making a dent in the votes of the opposition parties. So the party had also invited the leaders of the opposition parties for dinner. This strategy was also successful.
At the dinner, leaders of the opposition parties pledged to vote for Murmu. Murmu himself went to each and every voter and sought support for himself. After the dinner, Raja Bhaiya told that our party is with Murmu Ji. Shivpalji and Rajbharji also promised that they would vote for Draupadi Murmu.
