Kolkata: Trinamool Congress (TMC) mouthpiece 'Jago Bangla' has linked the killing of former Japanese PM Shinzo Abe with the Agnipath scheme brought by the central government for military recruitment in India with its Bengali article titled 'Agnipath Shadow in Shizo's murder'. The article says that Shinzo Abe's assassination will strengthen resistance against India's Agnipath plan as the man who assassinated Abe served in the army without a pension.

The article further said, "It is important that the central government is also trying to recruit people in the army in the same way, which has caused a large-scale stir across the country. Under this scheme, people will remain in the job for only 4.5 years. There will be no pension and there will be no other benefits after retirement. In fact, in a shocking incident on Friday, Shinzo Abe was shot by 41-year-old Tetsuya Yamagami while delivering a speech at an event. A few hours later, the former PM was declared dead.

After this, the whole world mourned the death of Shinzo Abe. Police have arrested the 41-year-old attacker. Police claimed that he had fired at Abe with a hand-made pistol. According to Japanese media, Yamagami did not try to flee from the spot. He told investigators he was dissatisfied with Abe and wanted to kill him. However, he was not disenchanted with Abe's political beliefs.
