Shinde Sena Claims Contact with Two Newly Elected Lok Sabha Members of UBT

Mumbai: Shiv Sena spokesperson Naresh Mhaske announced in a press conference in New Delhi that two recently elected Lok Sabha members from Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena are in communication with Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. While refraining from disclosing the names due to anti-defection laws, Mhaske indicated that these two members would be joined by four others in crossing over to the Shinde-led party.

Mhaske highlighted dissatisfaction among the two Lok Sabha members regarding Uddhav Thackeray's approach in garnering votes from a specific community, who were reportedly transported in buses. Stating that two Lok Sabha members from the Thackeray faction are in contact, Mhaske added that four more are expected to align with them and back Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi.

These assertions by Mhaske follow recent claims by Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut, who suggested that MLAs and MPs aligned with Shinde's faction were interested in rejoining Thackeray's party. The Shiv Sena, led by Shinde, secured seven Lok Sabha seats, while the Thackeray faction clinched nine.
