Mumbai: The Lok Sabha Polls are around the corner and some political parties are attacking on each while other trying to improve the political relationship. Amid the ongoing tussle for power between the Shiv Sena and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Maharashtra, a biopic on Shiv Sena founder late Balasaheb Thackeray seems to can help in imrpoving the political relationship between parties.

However, Balasaheb's biopic ‘ Thackrey’ seems to have changed the tides for both the parties after senior Shiv Sena leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut revealed that the Shiv Sena is planning to hold a special screening of the movie, for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several other BJP Members of Parliament in New Delhi.

Shiv Sena is BJP's biggest ally in the incumbent National Democratic Alliance government that came to power in 2014, the Sainiks have been miffed with the BJP over seat-sharing and governance policies. As per reports, there are talks between the Shiv Sena and the BJP of a possible seat-sharing pact in the run-up to the upcoming 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

Talking about film Thackrey, the film stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui as the eponymous person and Amrita Rao as his wife.The film is scheduled for release on 25 January 2019.
