Goa: Mohan Rawale , a former Shiv Sena MP and one of the earliest leaders of the Shiv Sena, has passed away in Goa. He was 72 years old. He died of a heart attack. Mohan Rawale had been elected to the Lok Sabha five times from the South-Central Mumbai Lok Sabha constituency. He was a very popular leader in the Paral-Lalbagh area of Mumbai. Shiv Sena chief Balasaheb Thackeray's Rawale was considered close.
He represented the Mumbai South Central constituency of Maharashtra and was a member of the Shiv Sena (SS) political party before Shiv Sena party leader Uddhav Thackeray expelled him from the party in an apparent clampdown on dissidence. He joined the Nationalist Congress Party but soon after rejoined the Shiv Sena.
Mohan Rawale's body will be brought to Mumbai this evening for burial. After bringing Parthiv to his home in Dadar, his Parthiv Shiv Sainiks will be kept at the Paral Shiv Sena branch, his karma bhoomi, for a final darshan. He will be cremated at Shivaji Park Cemetery.
